Something to Stand On

Something to Stand On is a new book by Brenda Jacobson

something to stand on: building a foundation for parenting that’s purposeful, effective, & not so exhausting

You are not alone.
You do not have to live life in survival mode.

There is a foundation for you to stand on.

Effective and fulfilling parenting isn't about knowing the right tips and tricks—it's about standing on a strong foundation. Only with your feet firmly planted in the Lord can you look ahead at your child's life and make wise, purposeful choices for today.

Something to Stand On is a workbook about building that foundation. It's about opening two-way communication with the Lord so you can be a full participant in his plan for your family. It's about becoming the person God created you to be so you can help your children grow into the adults they're created to be.

THIS WORKBOOK HELPS YOU:
• Cultivate self-awareness and improve self-control
• Learn to hear from God and surrender to his will
• Deal with pain from your past
• Teach your children healthy obedience
• Empower your children to thrive as adults

EACH CHAPTER INCLUDES:
• Personal reflection questions
• Attainable action steps
• Brief, easy-to-remember prayers
• Detailed tips for teaching the principles to your children
